2017 RUSS CALDWELL a self taught lead guitarist /musician/ songwriter moved to NashvilleTennessee in the Summer of 2004 at age 22, from his hometown Mooresville North Carolina,to pursue his life long dream of a country music career. Living in Nashville 13 years he has worked his way up to a professional musician traveling the USA, Canada, Japan, Guam and all over playing music. From working at Fed X to Gibson Guitar in his early years in town, to working as lead guitarist /band leader for country artist/ songwriter Jami Grooms and The Catfish Johnston Band, often playing shows with Jami Grooms at WILDHORSE SALOON and around Broadway in downtown Nashville. Russ Caldwells talent was early recognized by award winning producer MICHAEL KNOX. Knox got Russ the opportunity to work with rising country artist Shalacy Griffin now a part of (MUSIC KNOX COMPANY) as her lead guitar player, at that time. Knox also got Russ an audition to work with country artist JOSH THOMPSON playing guitar and being on the Brad PaisleyH20 Tour in the Summer of 2010 with JOSH. Russ also appears in Josh Thompsons video "WAY OUT HERE"! Russ wasrecognized by Sony/ Songwriters who worked with Jami Grooms and invited Russ to work with Sony /Songwriter Shaun Ames, Bush Hog band. In 2011 Bush Hog got signedby Sony RCA and became "BUSH HAWG" a six man groupproduced and managed by multi award winning producer MICHAELKNOX. Russ worked with BUSH HAWG on Sony Nashville/RCA for threeyears as a member of the group, as lead guitarist, until the group lost their deal and parted ways. After that Russ started working with BLA young rising artist Cody Purvis, as his lead guitar player and worked himself up to his band leader. Russ was called back by Michael Knox and offered an opportunity to help Knox put together a full band for Knoxs newly represented young rising country artist Michael Tyler. Russ is presently traveling on radio tour and working shows all over the USA with MICHAEL TYLER, who now is a REVIVER RECORDS ARTIST, as his lead guitarist /band leader and tour manager. Since his first gig at 11 years old Russ has never slowed down and keeps his dream alive!
