Russ played Ganjo and Guitar in Country Artist Songwriter Josh Thompsons band In 2010. They played on Country Artist Brad Paisleys H20 Tour that year. Russ traveled all over the US doing shows with Josh Thompson. Russ was in Josh Thompsons Video WAY OUT HERE! He left Josh Thompsons Band when he joined the 6 Man group Bush Hawg who got signed to Sony RCA in 2011 2012 and 2013.
