BUSH HAWG DAYS WITH SONY RCA
Russ was lead guitarist and a member of the Sony /RCA Six-man group Bush Hawg for three years 2011 2012 2013. Bush Hawg was managed and produced by platinum record Producer Michael Knox / Country star Jason Aldeans producer. They were represented by Buddy Lee Attractions most of the three years who kept them busy and booked. They had switched over to William Morris in the last year. The group lost their deal with RCA after three years on the major label when the label changed Heads in December 2013. The Six-man group disbanded in May 2014 and went separate ways. Russ played lead guitar on four of the songs produced by Knox on the Bush Hawg CD. Traveling all over the USA performing shows, Canada Country Music Festival, traveling to Japan and Guam to entertain the troops on a USO Tour were major highlights. Traveling all over the USA on radio tour and making lots of fans and getting airplay for their singles "Crushin" and "More Than Corn" was an awesome experience. Making a video for 'Crushin' was an exciting time. Bush Hawg was in Japan during the major 9.0 Earthquake Tsunami in March 2011.
